Open Science invites proposals for Special Issues that focus on a specific area of research that has broad appeal and falls within the aims and scope of the journal. Special Issues provide an excellent opportunity to review a topic, examine previously unaddressed aspects of it, propose and develop new approaches, exchange perspectives and encourage new lines of research.
1. You may like to invite 2-3 qualified Guest Editors for your special issue. Or you may work as sole GUEST EDITOR for your issue.
2. You need to write a one-page Call-for-Papers in consultation with the other Guest Editors.
3. You need to arrange timely, quality controlled OPEN peer review for the submitted manuscripts. You will be provided all kinds of draft letters, required for the peer review communications. Once Final Decision is made, you need to forward the accepted final version of the paper to editorial board.
4. You need to write an editorial (along with the other Guest Editors, (if you have)) to be published in your Special Issue.
5. Editorial office staffs will be always available for you for any administrative and editorial assistance to make the whole process seamless and enjoying.
1. Title for the special issue;
2. The journal for which the Special Issue is intended ;
3. Names, affiliations and short CVs of the proposed Special Issue Editors;
4. Start date & end date of submission;
5. A statement of the purpose of the special issue (including information whether the special issue will include only invited papers or is open for all submissions within the scope of the special issue);
6. A draft of the call for papers that will solicit submissions for the special issue;
7. Any other useful information that will help to evaluate the special issue proposal (e.g., Is this special issue the result of one or several conference special sessions? Are there specific people that you already have in mind that might contribute? Do you have a rough idea of about how many papers might be published and their average length?).
