Abstract
Saudi Arabia natural clay was analyzed for elimination of textile dyes from aqueous solution. For this target, Safranin-O (SO) and Methylene blue (MB) dyes as Cationic dyes, were eliminated by batch model under different factors as pH, concentration, time, temperatures and dosage. The chosen clay was examined by SEM, BET, XRF, XRD, and FTIR. The removal rate was fast with 20–60 min of equilibrium. The equilibrium adsorption data analyzed by Langmuir, Freundlich and Tempkin models. Moreover, kinetic pseudo second-order model is identical to adsorption process. Langmuir equation with (R2 = 0.999) for both dyes SO and MB is the expected for adsorption isotherms inasmuch heterogeneous surface of clay. As a result of a negative values of ΔG° and ΔH°, thermodynamic parameters revealed to endothermic nature.
